This policy describes exactly what the app does with data. It is written to match the Google Play Data Safety declaration for this app; if you find a discrepancy, the stricter reading applies and we will correct the document.

The short version

Remember is a private memory-keeping app. It requires an account, and the memories you save — text, photos, voice notes, videos, documents — are stored on our own server (api.spawnkit.ai) so they are safe if you lose your phone and can be shared with family members you invite. Nothing is uploaded unless you save it yourself. There are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no data sold or shared for marketing — ever.

Stored on your device only

Sent off your device

Everything below goes to our API at api.spawnkit.ai over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and only as a result of an action you take:

DataWhy
Your email address and password (or Google sign-in)To create and secure your account
Memories you save: text, photos, voice recordings, videos, documentsThis is the app — storing your memories so you can revisit and search them
Questions you ask the "Ask" featureTo have an AI assistant answer from your own saved memories. Answers are generated from your memories only.
Email addresses of family members you inviteTo send them an invitation to your shared family space

Camera, microphone, and photo library are used only when you actively capture or attach a memory. The app never records in the background, and each permission is requested the first time you use the corresponding feature. You can decline and still use text memories.

Google sign-in: if you choose it, Google shares your email address with us to identify your account. Google's own privacy policy applies to the sign-in step: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Family sharing

Memories can be shared with family members you explicitly invite. Only people you invite can see shared memories. You control the invitations.

What we never collect

Your rights, export, and deletion

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.

Data retention

Your memories are retained while your account exists — that is the point of the app. Deleted memories are removed immediately. On-device data is cleared when you uninstall the app.

Children

Remember is intended for adults and families. Accounts are created by adults; we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
